The two subjects are compulsory in natureand thus play a key role in determining thes chool mean. The department is therefore dedicated in ensuring that the students reform well in these two subjects. This is by ensuring that we have effective group discussions especially in areas that deem difficult to them.
In KCSE 2016, English had a mean of 3.81while Kiswahili had 4.99. in 2017 Englishhad 4.82 Kiswahili had 4.865. The department has had quality grades such as A’sand A-s in Kiswahili over the years but the same has been a mirage in English where the best grade record has been an A- so far.I therefore take this chance to encourage our students to embrace the languages in terms of speaking and writing, have time on your own to also go through the settext and revise English and Kiswahili just like the other subjects. With this your performance will definitely improve.
